1.    Training the ability of understanding the history and the investigation of historical artifacts and cultivating specialty: The goal is engaged by arranging obligatory courses and lectures and encouraging our students to take courses in different fields.

2.    Training the ability of field investigation

3.    Cultivating the ability of understanding folkways and investigating historical artifacts: Students will be more capable to understand folkways and know how to investigate historical artifacts by visiting museums and attending lectures of designated topics.

4.    Arranging of annual Overseas Tuition: We hold annual overseas tuition to enable students to contact real antiques.

5.    Teaching of museology and internship

·         The future employment of students graduating from our department can be divided into five categories generally as follows:

1.      Promote the applied public history ,thereby enhancing the compilation of local chronicles, genealogies, individual biographies as well as varieties of film and literary compositions. 

2.      Strengthen students’ understanding of cultural assets and their skills acquired for the appreciation of arts and conservation of antiquities in order for the graduates to exert their expertise in the fields of related works.

3.      Highlight student’s basic knowledge regarding history and historical artifacts, in the hope of equipping students with capability of doing advanced academic research for further studies after graduation.
